Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera
The Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera, I.P. (IPMA) opens a call, within 5 days from the date of publication of this notice, to award one Master scholarships, within the framework of the project 3M_RECITAL (“MINHO, MONDEGO, AND MIRA ESTUARIES observatory: Long term variation of ecological status as a response to natural and human induced changes. Implications for management and restoration”), funded by “Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia”.
The monthly amount of the Master scholarship is in accordance with the values stipulated in the “Regulations for Advanced Training and Qualification of Human Resources” of FCT. The contract is for 6 months, renewable up to 18 months. The workplace is IPMA (Algés, Portugal). The beginning is foreseen to be on May 1, 2013.
This scholarship is intended for researchers with a Master degree in Marine Biology, Environmental Ecotoxicology or a similar area. There is a preference for people with experience in the determination of biochemical responses (enzymes and proteins) and metals in environmental matrices.

If there are not candidates of merit, the Jury may decide not to award this scholarship.
